Gabel's Beach Getaway vacation rental is just that, a getaway, which is why we love it so much. It's a very special place to us. We enjoy the peace and quiet that our home offers, and we go there to escape our busy lives and unwind. Our house sits on an acre, and has a great sense of privacy.
We love that the quiet setting allows for frequent sightings of a large variety of birds and deer, and the occasional eagle. Our favorite room in the house is the family room; it has a very warm and cozy feeling. There are windows all the way around the room overlooking beach grass and a forested path leading directly to the beach.
We LOVE the big rock fireplace! In fact we have a fire almost every night, even in the summer. The wood floors are original, and if you look at the floor in front of the fireplace, you will see where guests dating back to the 1950's have carved their initials and names into the floor over the years. We love the fond memories these carvings represent to those who came before us, as they were original to the house when we bought it, but we ask that you please do not carve any more names into the floor:) In addition to the large rock fireplace, the family room has knotty pine and vaulted ceilings with wood beams, which contribute to a true cozy beach cabin experience.
The home has a special aura to it; very inviting and relaxing. Come enjoy...bring a book, curl up to a fire and enjoy the serenity at the beach. If a getaway is what you seek, we believe you will truly enjoy a Gabel's Beach Getaway as much as we do!
