The Admiral House is located in Klipsan, Washington, two miles south of Ocean Park, and seven miles north of Long Beach Washington. It is at the end of a quiet residential street, with only a few houses to the east, and wide open beachfront to the west.
Across the street is Jimella's Seafood Market and Community Store for fantastic take out food. Jimella has by far the best clam chowder on the Peninsula.

Do not miss a visit to Oysterville on the pristine Willapa Bay, just 4 miles north of the Admiral House. Founded in 1854 and known as “the town that oysters built”, Oysterville was once a bustling town of 500 settlers. In the late 1800’s it is said that there were more gold coins in Oysterville than any other city on the West Coast except San Francisco thanks to the premium prices oysters were fetching.
Today the town is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as an evocative reminder of Washington’s colorful past. Willapa Bay is a sanctuary for wildlife including herons, eagles, deer, raccoons, porcupines, and if you’re lucky, you may even spot one of the neighborhood black bears. In the early mornings, people have spotted deer swimming across the Bay from Long Island.
